Reminiscing

I was looking through pictures last night and saw some amazing photos from our trip to Italy in 2007. I thought I would post a few. To view the photos in a larger window, just click on them. Enjoy!

California and back...

Last Saturday we left for California and we just returned home last night. What a whirlwind trip. The trip was great and I will post pictures as soon as I can. There were a few highlights though:
  1. Mike ran the Chick-Fil-A 5k in 24 minutes!
  2. We went on a whale watching tour (but didn't see whales, only dolphins)
  3. We got to stay at the hotel closest to the convention center! This was great!
We were so blessed to be able to participate in such an exciting event with all of the CFA Operators & Staff in California this year. Next year's event is in Washington D.C.!

Busy Bees

This Saturday we are headed to Long Beach, CA for Chick-Fil-A's Annual Seminar. We are really looking forward to a little time away, but it is incredibly hectic trying to tie up loose ends before being gone for several days. Shout out to Vincent for helping with Giulia - we appreciate it! And Giulia likes Vincent more than she likes us anyway, so I know she will be thrilled to hang out with him.

Welcome!

Hi, We thought we should join the blogging world and share some of the fun stories/experiences that we have with our closest friends and family. In this blog we (and by we, I mean mostly I) will share stories and pictures from some of our upcoming trips and events. Thanks for spending some time on our site and we hope you enjoy it!

To start us off with a bang, let me share a little about the events surrounding our Super Bowl Party. First, I was away all day at a wedding shower - Congrats Elizabeth! - then got back and realized that we had 1 hour to pull together all of the food, get the house cleaned up, etc. While we were on our cleaning/cooking blitz, our dishwasher stopped working! Yikes. This is especially challenging if you are trying to cook a lot of different types of food in a short time. Mike came through and not only tried to fix the dishwasher, but he washed a lot of the dishes. Needless to say, we managed to somehow get all of the food cooked and the party was fun. (Although the margaritas were a little bland, key lime pie was a little runny and my jello project was a disaster - it was still fun.)
