Weather

For the last 3 weeks, we have had some really strange weather. Severe weather (with tornadoes) at least once a week for almost a month! I have some pictures and will post them soon. Hopefully the worst is finished. But, I am amazed that we can go from snow to 80 degrees and sunny to tornadoes + hail and back to sunny again in a week! (We actually did that a few weeks ago.)

Lately, we have been pretty busy with work and things like that so we are looking forward to some exciting trips to come in May and June. Specifically, Jessica's Graduation, Vincent's Graduation Party, Mom's Birthday Weekend and our trip to the Dominican Republic. I can't wait!

Our prayers are with the families of the victims from the Athens shooting yesterday. We did not know the professor, but are hopeful that this tragedy will be resolved soon. I remembered last night that I went to see a play at the theater where the events unfolded with some girlfriends in Athens. And it was a great night. I sure hope they are able to continue putting on productions in the Athens area in the years to come.

My American Idol

My top 3 American Idol finalists are Danny, Matt & Anoop. I think that Adam will probably win because he is a fan favorite, but I think these three are great!

Anoop Desai - Just a neat guy and cool ballad singer.

Matt - He has a bluesy sound that is so unique and he has got some cool dance moves too!

Ferocious Giulia & UPS

For some reason, Giulia has lately been very bothered by the UPS & FedEx delivery drivers. She does this weird growling thing, then if they happen to have to deliver a package to a neighbor's house, she is a barking machine!

Easter Weekend

Easter was great at our house! Stephen, Jessica & Mom came in for the weekend and we had a great time. Then on Sunday night we visited the Calanos and got to see Diana! Giulia was loving having all of the company this weekend and getting to see her favorite Uncle Vincent. She is going to be sad that it is just Mike & I in the house this week!

Braves Fun

We went to a pre-season Braves game last weekend and had a blast. It was a gorgeous day! Unfortunately, 2 days after this game, our favorite weather man, Flip Spiceland, says we are now in an Arctic Freeze. We have had some weird weather lately!

BigHouse Foundation

Mike & I have had the pleasure of working with a special couple, Micah & Blake Melnick, in helping them start an organization for foster children in East Alabama. The BigHouse Foundation will provide foster children with a place where they can take dance & music lessons, art classes free of charge! In addition, BigHouse will pay for swimming lessons, yearbooks, prom dresses and tux rental, summer camp fees as well as provide a clothes closet and food pantry for the foster families in the area.
