7.5 Months

We have a tooth! Very exciting. It was not without much effort on behalf of everyone living in the house. G is also sleeping all night without waking for the pacifier or to be rocked. I thought that day would never come. :)

We met Santa at the CFA Home Office holiday party and G did great. She didn't smile, but she didn't cry either, so everyone came out unscathed.

I had a scare yesterday since I woke up with unbelievable pain in my knee. I visited the ER and it was only a sprain, thank the Lord! It is already feeling much better after only 48 hours. It did put into perspective how difficult it would be to care for a soon-to-be crawler with a leg brace! One day of it was enough for me!

G is also in her big girl car seat and loves it. She likes to sit with her stuffed Rudolph reindeer and Angry Bird toy. She could play and squeal for hours.

6 MONTHS!

Being a new mom is such an adventure. Hence the reason I have not blogged in 4 months!

Since this is my electronic baby book that I may one day show to Giuliana, here are her stats!

3 Months:

95% weight

94% height

90% head circumference

Baby Tricks: G held her head up pretty well and started really smiling. Which is SUCH a treat and makes all things better in that moment. She loves her play mat and it is a life saver!

6 Months:

97% weight

94% height

Baby Tricks: Right now G is changing by the day! She is a great sitter and is interested in learning how to move herself around. She will scoot on her back a lot and is so sweet and smiley (most of the time:). She has her moments though! Bubble Guppies and Clifford are her fav tv shows and no one can make her laugh like her Daddy. (I am jealous. :) She also loves checking the mail and opening and closing the mailbox. Sometimes we do it several times a day, while mommy figures out the next activity. We go to Boot Camp with Miss Kimmie, whom G adores, and Music Class with Ashley & Lila. She sleeps pretty well at night, but still wants to be rocked at times and to be honest, I don't really mind the snuggle time now that the weather has cooled off. I think moms learn to live on less sleep than normal people. haha

Growing up!

Today Giuliana is 7 weeks and 3 days old. What a fun stage this is!

Now she can hold her head up and loves to play after she eats. She isn't crazy about baths, but doesn't mind them as much as she used to. We are still trying to get all the way through the night without a bottle, but hopefully that isn't too far away.

I would be just fine if she stayed this way forever, but am also looking forward to seeing her grow.

First Week Home

We have officially been home from the hospital for a week! And what a week it has been. Here are a few highlights:

This week, we had our first stroll around the neighborhood, and it started raining when we made it almost home, Giuliana didn't wake up once though. We also got on a routine of eating every 3 hours and had 2 good dr visits. She regained her weight after we left the hospital and now she is approaching 9 lbs if she isn't already there. :)

Baby Fun

Mike's team at Chick-fil-A also got together and threw a very entertaining baby shower for him. The pictures for this one are hilarious!

We also had a beautiful shower in Birmingham with my most dear family and friends. Our nursery theme is brown and pink and EVERY detail was incorporated into that. Also the strawberry cupcakes were unbelievable!! It felt amazing to be showered with love by those who I care about so much.

Baby Chain - Almost there!

Looks like we are moving right along! We are down to 5 weeks before Baby Giuliana should make her arrival. What an exciting time!

Here are some pictures of our baby shower in Atlanta from this weekend. Mike's mom (Giuliana's Nonna) is amazingly talented with crafts her diaper cakes and wreaths were one of a kind! And the food was delicious!!! It was an amazing day and I can't thank her and Nanni enough for all of their hard work on it.

We are moving right along with trying to prepare our house for Giuliana's arrival and we have several great things that we would love to sell and/or donate, so stay tuned for that!

I also made a paper chain to count down the days until Giuliana arrives. It is going to be here quickly! Very exciting and Mike did a great job trying to humor my lack of craftiness. :)

I woke up SUPER hungry this morning and thankfully I was running a little early. (That never happens.)

Baby Room Project is underway!

We're Back!

Thanks to several ice/snow days and spending lots of time on the computer working from home, I am hoping to get back on the blogging wagon again. Especially since we have a little one on the way.

Since our last blog, we have been preparing for our little girl's arrival and also panicking a little bit as well. :) Needless to say, Mike and I have very limited experience with little ones, but we are hoping instincts take over.

Now that 2011 has arrived, we are excited about the fun things in store this year. We are headed to Savannah in February for my good friend Laura's wedding, then to San Antonio the next day for Chick-fil-A's Annual Seminar.

Then that will all the traveling for a bit until Miss Giuliana (pronounced Juliana) Rose Calano arrives in April.
