Vincent came over for a visit last night and we went to grab a quick bite to eat at Moe's "Welcome to MOE's!" To our surprise, we were right on time for Team Trivia. Needless to say, "The Flying Yoyos" (our team name) took 2nd place! Best answers of the night:
Mike - Who is the host of "Tales of the Crypt?" - The Crypt Keeper
Which comic book character is blonde, Veronica or Betty? - Betty (I suggested Veronica, but was SO wrong, I am glad he didn't listen to me!)
Vincent - Name 4 of 7 of the most popular magazines that start with "T" (can't start with the word "the") - Teen
Jana - What river's delta is in Louisiana? - Mississippi River
As 2nd place finishers, we won $10 in Moe's cash! Not too bad for our first round ever!

County Government
Oh how I love dealing with county government. We had to file our homestead exemption and I was ready for some resistance. It seems like nothing in Atlanta from getting a tag to simply getting a new social security card does not happen for us without some excitement.
When I was changing my name at the DMV, I almost missed my number because the room was so loud and they informed me that if I didn't come to the desk when I did, I would have had to go to the end of the line and started over! (The line was about 2 hrs. long)
Then today when filing the homestead exemption, it seemed like I had to produce every personal document that has my name on it that I could find. I am talking the works! From drivers license to marriage license and car registration to old college IDs that had my maiden name & photo on it to prove who I was. Thankfully, the lady who was helping me was understanding and I got out of there in a reasonable amount of time. I am very appreciative to our county government but have to say that I am looking forward to not visiting them in the near future.

Elizabeth & Jordan's Wedding / Meet The Cats
This weekend one of our friends from UGA got married in Athens. Her wedding colors were absolutely gorgeous!
Snow Day!
It snowed in Atlanta and Giulia was not a huge fan. She stood at the door and didn't want to get out in it at all.
The night before it snowed was pretty interesting. Mike's car overheated on a busy highway in Atlanta and we had to unload his car (+ the dog) on the side of the road, then he had to get towed to the other side of town around 11 pm. It was a LONG night for him. Thanks goodness Vincent was able to pick him up at the Honda place. His mechanic said that his engine was cracked and that he would have to get a new one! Thank goodness this was covered in his warranty!! Now, it is as good as new!

We're Back in Action
After a month of excitement & traveling, we are glad to be back in Atlanta to stay! Here was our roller coaster of a month:
1st weekend - Auburn, AL
2nd weekend - Long Beach, CA
3rd weekend - Full weekend of events in Atlanta
4th weekend - Athens, GA
This was a wonderful month and I can't wait to post pictures from our trips. All I have to do is unpack my camera... Hmmm... I wonder where it could be.
Also, it's snowing in Atlanta today. Giulia is not a fan, but I think it is great!
