We're back!

Sorry it has been a while since I have written on here. It has been a busy few weeks. Mike has been preparing for his training in Atlanta as well as his in-unit time which will be at a location outside of Atlanta. We will let you know as soon as we hear any news about where he will be headed.

Last weekend we had my mom up for her birthday weekend festivities and we had a great time! We took her to the Braves game on Saturday then the Heart concert at Chastain Park on Sunday. It rained pretty much the whole weekend, but it didn't hold us back.

The BigHouse video is also ready. This is the organization Mike & I are working with that serves foster children in East Alabama.

Weather

For the last 3 weeks, we have had some really strange weather. Severe weather (with tornadoes) at least once a week for almost a month! I have some pictures and will post them soon. Hopefully the worst is finished. But, I am amazed that we can go from snow to 80 degrees and sunny to tornadoes + hail and back to sunny again in a week! (We actually did that a few weeks ago.)

Lately, we have been pretty busy with work and things like that so we are looking forward to some exciting trips to come in May and June. Specifically, Jessica's Graduation, Vincent's Graduation Party, Mom's Birthday Weekend and our trip to the Dominican Republic. I can't wait!

Our prayers are with the families of the victims from the Athens shooting yesterday. We did not know the professor, but are hopeful that this tragedy will be resolved soon. I remembered last night that I went to see a play at the theater where the events unfolded with some girlfriends in Athens. And it was a great night. I sure hope they are able to continue putting on productions in the Athens area in the years to come.

My American Idol

My top 3 American Idol finalists are Danny, Matt & Anoop. I think that Adam will probably win because he is a fan favorite, but I think these three are great!

Anoop Desai - Just a neat guy and cool ballad singer.

Matt - He has a bluesy sound that is so unique and he has got some cool dance moves too!

This restaurant is a lot of fun and the food is delicious! They also have live music on Friday nights.

Ferocious Giulia & UPS

For some reason, Giulia has lately been very bothered by the UPS & FedEx delivery drivers. She does this weird growling thing, then if they happen to have to deliver a package to a neighbor's house, she is a barking machine!
